Mabel Lim is a highly regarded lawyer who leads the very successful wills and estates practice at Colquhoun Murphy. In her practice, Mabel’s technical understanding of the law and finance meets her caring and friendly personality, resulting in a client-centred, sensitive and practical approach to estate dilemmas.

Mabel holds qualifications in both accounting and law. This combination results in a high level of technical knowledge that she puts to use in providing legal advice and services across a broad practice. Her experience spans across all the practice areas of the firm. She has a current focus on all aspects of estates practice, which includes estate administration, estate disputes, family and business succession plans that can involve complex issues of trust and property.

Mabel is currently a member of the Wills and Estates Committee of the ACT Law Society. This committee is at the forefront of law reform and works to provide guidance in relation to best practices for lawyers advising and acting in relation to wills, powers of attorney, guardianship and financial management and estate litigation.
